For tenants, community organizations, and the public
Join us to learn about the City of Seattle's Source of Income protections, engage with community organizations, and meet with an investigator to discuss filing a claim of discrimination.
The tentative list of organizations include: Casa Latina, Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC), Refugee Women's Alliance (ReWA), Solid Ground, Tenants Union, Urban League, and Legal Action Center.
The Source of Income protections expand fair housing protections based on applicants' source of income and creates additional rights for tenants. This includes the new "first in time" provision that requires landlords to offer tenancy to the first applicant who meets all the screening criteria necessary for approval.
