Celebrate First Hill with FHIA at the third Annual First Hill Valentine's Day Party on Wednesday, February 7th from 6 - 8pm at the Stimson-Green Mansion! This event is a chance to meet your neighbors, show your love for the neighborhood that's first in our hearts, and fete the people and organizations who make it such a wonderful place to be.
The First Hill Valentine's Day Party will feature the inaugural First Hill Champion Award, which recognizes a person or organization contributes towards FHIA's mission of a safe, welcoming, and vibrant First Hill where all people can thrive.
We are proud to announce this year's First Hill Champion is Plymouth Housing Group!
"Plymouth Housing Group's newly opened Plymouth on First Hill building provides 77 units of housing for formerly homeless neighbors and connects these new neighbors to healthcare at Harborview Medical Center. We are proud that the community of residents has embraced these new neighbors, and that Plymouth will continue to be a strong partner and advocate for our most vulnerable populations as they work to develop the 1400 Madison site," said Mary Ellen Hudgins, FHIA Board of Trustees President.
Plymouth Housing Group Executive Director Paul Lambrose says, "The residents, businesses, and community leadership of First Hill have been wonderful partners as we pursue our mission to end homelessness. We’re proud that Plymouth residents and staff now call First Hill ‘home,’ and we’re excited to bring more new residents off the streets and into this welcoming neighborhood in the years ahead."
In addition to the presentation of this award, we'll also have a dessert table with treats from Kaspar's, a no-host bar, live piano music, and a raffle with amazing prizes from local businesses. Washington Trust for Historic Preservation will be giving tours of the Stimson-Green Mansion.
